Book: The Camera Assistants Manual

Now i really do struggle to read normally, butDavid Elkins has written this awesome easy to follow advice about how to act on set, what a camera assistant is expected to do, and all the tips and tricks that will make a first or second camera assistant ready to advance to the next level. Everytime i read this book i learn something new like skill sets of a 1st or 2nd AC Camera Assistant. Before i didn't realise that the clapper and loader was known as the 2nd AC.

This super book covers the basics that i need to know about cinematography, how to maintain many types camera but not a 7D =( how to transport a camera, how to troubleshoot common problems that arise on set, and even advice about interviewing for the job, which should come in very handy soon. The new edition has also been updated to include new forms, checklists, tables, and illustrations that will be pretty handy as i can recreate them and use them on set in the future
