In the world of video production, few books attain a recommended level of achievement. Because of its sterling reputation, I decided to pick up this book in the hope that it could assist in understanding the theory, technical and to my astonishment somewhat mathematical tendencies that are involved in the compositing process. So far through reading, it has opened up unthought of technical issues that need to be addressed in order to successfully capture quality footage to work with.
The other two books are more personalised, they speak more generally around the theory as opposed to detailed technique. They assist me in feeling more comfortable with language and methods used in cinematography and video production.
