After my dreadful turnout of actors, i have made the decision to look elsewhere for my male talent. And to get away from that horrible over the top theater acting style that so many actors on casting call seem to posses, I have turned to Models. Why have i done this? well other than a new experience, and the fact that there is more possibility of success due to the vast number of would be models. The most influential thing that didn't occur until very recently is that I am after somebody who looks good on camera, and not somebody who can recite Machbeth flawlessly. Yes, its a very shallow angle to approach, but seriously, all i want these actors/models to do is stand and stare! i can do that!
Ranting aside, I have registered to a website called Net-Model. The site was introduced to me just yesterday bu Mr Burton, and i must say, it puts the term " work doesn't come looking for you" straight to bed. I registered, Uploaded some work samples, and BOOM, my inbox was flooded few hors later when i came to check up. However non of this work was relevant to my project, butit has provided me with personal work that i have ben planning on! So that was a success in itself.
Now for the productivity of the project, i have emailed a speific model who lives in the leeds area. Just as a warm up to see how models react to being asked for a part in a film. The gent i picked looks very much like my vision for the part.
Now its a waiting game to se if he will reply with any intrest. Will keep checking the inbox while continuing with the project.
