First Edit

All the rushes have been organised and filed into relevant categories. The main division is the footage of the male and the footage of the female parts. I took the edit straight into Adobe after effects. This allows me to tweak the cuts as and when i want after they keying process has been applied. If i was to do an edit in final cut, i would have no give with the cuts, and at such an early stage this is crucial to keep open. The only downside is the fact i have to ram preview everytime i wish to playback. But hey, am use to it!

The first process was to lay down a rough cut in sequence to my storyboard and see how the comparison feels. Naturally with most editing jobs i have done before, the edit will differ from the storyboard slightly towards the end.

Once this rough cut was complete, i went ahead and started to key the green onto a white background. The white background allowed me to achieve the best key in the edges of the footage, as the footage was pretty much black. At this stage, the edit is now ready to go into compositing. Just need to shoot the footage to composite the actors onto. As previously mentioned that will be at clarence dock. More on that to follow with a bit of luck
